Fatima Sana Shaikh and R. Madhavan are set to appear in an upcoming romantic drama, Aap Jaisa Koi. The teaser for the film has already captivated hearts. Now, fans are in for a new on-screen chemistry, and the streaming platform, Netflix, has shared the release date of June 17.

O June 17, Netflix India announced that Aap Jaisa Koi will be released on July 11 and captioned the post, "This romcom has been waiting for Aap Jaisa Koi Watch Madhavan and Fatima find love in Aap Jaisa Koi, out 11 July, only on Netflix."

Aap Jaisa Koi is an upcoming Bollywood romantic comedy film starring R. Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles. The film is directed by Vivek Soni and produced by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment.

In the film, Madhavan plays a Sanskrit teacher, while Fatima is a French professor. They both met through a dating app and fell in love. In the film, their love of language and music brings them closer to each other.

Talking about his film, Aap Jaisa Koi, director Vivek Soni shared that it is about breaking free from the walls we build around ourselves. It's about embracing the awkwardness and vulnerability of love. 

"It subtly asks us about the roles we assume in relationships and shows the quiet bravery it takes to actually let someone in. The movie portrays the genuineness that Netflix audiences really resonate with, thanks to R. Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh's heartfelt performances. "It's a modern romance that addresses the need for genuine connections in today's world," he said.

Fatima will also be seen in Anurag Basu's Metro...In Dino with Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher in the meantime. It will be released in theaters on July 4th.

On the other hand, Madhavan co-starred with Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday in Kesari Chapter 2 not long ago. The movie is now available on JioHotstar.
