Sreeleela on Junior: Inspired by the Narrative, Beyond the Role

Sreeleela's previous Kannada film was By2Love in 2022, which starred Dhanveerraah. It has been a while since then. She began working on a new endeavor, Junior, at about the same time, which turned out to take over three years to complete before it was ready for theaters. Kireeti Reddy, the son of Gaali Janardhan Reddy, a politician and businessman, makes his debut in Junior, which was produced by Radhakrishna Reddy of Mayabazar 2016.

Speaking to TV9, Sreeleela said that the role is not extraordinary, her character, Spoorthi, is in the tale, as the mandatory love interest. What appealed to the actress is the story. “There is an emotional father-daughter arc. I connected with the story, more than the role. It’s a very beautiful story,” she said, adding that the fact that it is a Kannada-Telugu bilingual also appealed to her.

As a college student, the actress says that playing Spoorthi was not difficult at all. After suffering an injury during a stunt scene that kept Kireeti sidelined for around half of that period, the movie, which was released in 2022, took three years to make. This was hinted at by Sreeleela during the trailer release, when she said that she had enrolled in the movie during her first year of medical school and that she had finished the course by the time it was in theaters.

The plot of Junior, which has been called a family-friendly entertainment, centers around the bond between Kireeti and V. Ravichandran, who plays his father, while the other characters each contribute their roles. Genelia Deshmukh, Rao Ramesh, Sudharani, and other actors are featured in the movie as well.
