In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Tahir Raj Bhasin said that Neeraj Pandey shoots a project in a very different manner. After working with Neeraj Pandey on Special Ops season 1, Karan Tacker went on to play the lead in Khakee: The Bihar Chapter. He remembered that it was more difficult for him because he was apprehensive about approaching the filmmaker personally. Karan kept his distance from the filmmaker because he admired him. "His response was that it is working for me if I have left for the next shot after only one shot. I'm not going to make any concessions. I now realize that he means everything is alright for him when he says move on," said Karan Tacker.

Five years later, Special Ops 2.0

After a five-year hiatus, Special Ops is back with a new season. Neeraj Pandey had considered a spin-off tale centered around Kay Kay Menon's role as Himmat Singh, but the cast had changed during the time. Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story, the spinoff, featured Kay Kay Menon alongside Aftab Shivdasani. Additionally, the show is available on JioHotstar and may be watched on OTTplay Premium.
