The action-comedy Son of Sardaar 2, a sequel to the 2012 movie, is now set to hit theaters a week later than its planned release date. The movie, starring Mrunal Thakur and Ajay Devgn, will now premiere on August 1 as opposed to July 25. Although there has been no formal justification given for the delay, the move occurs as Saiyaara is still performing well at the box office.

Kubbra Sait responds to delay

Even though she wasn't sure why the release date had been moved, Kubra Sait, who plays a crucial role in the movie, informed Mid Day that she was happy with the change. "Earlier, it was scheduled for release on July 25, but now it's on August 1," the actor stated. I was born on July 27th. In any case, it's a birthday present for me. I don't know why there was a delay. The fact that it's coming out on August 1 makes me happy. People's return to the theaters is a welcome development. Therefore, it's great if one film is making room for ours.

Sait's debut feature comedy film, Son of Sardaar 2, which was directed by Vijay Singh Arora, is well-known for her spectacular performances in Deva, Shehar Lakhot (2023), and The Trial (2023). She said that her initial foray into comedy was energizing.

Overcoming genre constraints

"I've heard every actor say that comedy is a very difficult genre," the performer said. Therefore, I entered with that mindset. However, everything proceeded without incident. Over the 45 days we spent in Scotland, the screenplay was well-written, my coworkers were enjoyable, and we shared our lives.

The movie's production has undergone a number of notable changes, including cast changes. For instance, Ravi Kishen ended up taking over for Sanjay Dutt, who played a key role in the original. Following allegations that he behaved inappropriately while filming, Vijay Raaz and the other members of the original cast were fired.

Ajay Devgn's steady leadership

Given the constant mood of the set, Sait praised Devgn for his composure in both his roles as the performer and the producer. The atmosphere changes so much when you see Ajay Devgn maintain a sense of calm despite the changes, she stated. By serving as a positive role model, he laid the groundwork.
