The highest increase for Aamir Khan's most recent movie, Sitaare Zameen Par, was seen on its first Sunday, or day 3. According to Sacnilk, the film's highest revenue to date is Rs. 29 crore. Sadly, the film was unable to earn two-thirds of its budget over the weekend, falling short by 0.1 crore.

The box office gross of Aamir Khan's film Sitaare Zameen Par is currently Rs. 59.90 crore, representing 2/3 of the total cost of production. Sitaare Zameen Par's Box Office journey started with just Rs. 10.7 crore on its first day, and it doubled that amount on day two. The film grossed around Rs. 30 crore on its first Sunday and Rs. 21.50 crore on day two.

Sitaare Zameen Par's real test begins

The true challenge for Sitaare Zameen Par has only just begun. The real measure of whether Aamir Khan's return picture is connecting with audiences will be determined by the number of footfalls on a typical Monday. Before Friday, Sitaare Zameen Par will have no trouble recouping its budget of Rs. 90 crore if the dip is not too large. But the film will need another weekend to join the Rs. 100 crore club due to a significant decline. Kajol's Maa, which claims to be the new release from the Ajay Devgn-R. Madhavan Shaitaan Universe, will compete with Sitaare Zameen Par this week. Sonakshi Sinha's Nikita Roy is the movie's sole rival, but unless Maa strikes a chord with the audience, Sitaare Zameen Par will probably dominate the two films.
