Siren is directed by Antony Bhagyaraj in his directorial debut. Backed under the banner Home Movie Makers, Siren stars Jayam Ravi, Keerthy Suresh, Anupama Parameswaran, Yogi Babu, Samuthirakani and others.

Siren is about Thilaga Varman, an ambulance driver who goes to jail after he is alleged of crimes. Once he is out on parole and tries to reconnect with his daughter, a tainted police officer believes that he is at the cusp of a slew of murders. Keerthy Suresh has donned the khaki uniform for the first time in Siren.

The film released in theatres in February to mixed reviews. After its theatrical run, the film is now available on Disney+ Hotstar in all south Indian languages and Hindi. The film marked the first collaboration of Keerthy and Jayam Ravi. OTTplay review of the film reads, “Jayam Ravi and Keerthy Suresh do their parts well, but sometimes it is not enough to save the dense verbosity the script has in form of several threads. The film feels like one project, where thoughts have gone behind it, but it is not enough to resonate with the audience.”

Jayam Ravi’s body of work

Jayam Ravi, who was last seen in Siren, will be headlining two films, Genie and Kadhalika Neramillai. While the first film is a fantasy drama also starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, Krithi Shetty and others, the second project is a romance drama featuring Nithya Menen. The film is directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi. Jayam Ravi was also announced to be part of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life. While speculations earlier said that he is out of project, recent reports suggest that the actor has rejoined the cast again.
