According to sources, the Malayalam movie The Pet Detective is about to be released in theaters. The comedy drama, starring Sharaf U Dheen and Anupama Parameswaran, has been scheduled for a theatrical debut in August.

The Pet Detective release update

The movie, which is directed by Praneesh Vijayan, was earlier slated to make a big screen debut in April but was postponed due to unknown reasons. It has now been reported that The Pet Detective will have a theatrical premiere in August. An exact date of release and a trailer is expected from the makers in the coming days. 

Malayalam films that are scheduled for August release includes Narain-starrer Sahasam, Kathir's Malayalam debut Meesha and Arjun Ashokan's Sumathi Valavu. This year's Onam films such as Mohanlal-starrer Hridayapoorvam and Fahadh Faasil's Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira will also release by the end of the same month.

The Pet Detective's cast and crew

The film is a comedy in which Vinay Forrt and Joemon Jyothir also have significant roles. Sharaf U Dheen is the film's producer under the name of Sharafudheen Productions. This family entertainment has a script written by the director and Jai Vishnu.

The cinematography for The Pet Detective was under the direction of Anend C Chandran. The editor of this film is Abhinav Sunder Nayak, a well-known director who became famous with Mukundan Unni Associates, which is available on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium. Last year, on September 2, The Pet Detective's 83-day filming schedule came to an end. In early 2022, the film was announced, along with its first-look poster. The film's soundtrack was written by Rajesh Murugesan.

The story's main character is an eccentric detective whose cases revolve around animals. Anupama Parameswaran played a significant role in Suresh Gopi's most recent film, Janaki V v/s State of Kerala, while Sharaf U Dheen was last seen in Samshayam and Padakkalam.
