The long-awaited relaunch of the iconic superhero series Shaktimaan is still under development, not because of a lack of audience interest, but rather because of differences between the people involved in the production, particularly between Mukesh Khanna, the creator and star of the original series, and the potential cast members.

The announcement of the series' impending cinematic version surely sparked excitement in a large number of fans. The film gained popularity in part because of rumors that Malayalam filmmaker-actor Basil Joseph was involved and that Ranveer Singh was being considered for the role of the main superhero.

Amid all of this discussion, rumors began to spread that Allu Arjun had replaced Singh. Khanna had earlier said, "I believe I have to watch more Allu Arjun movies." I'll also venture to say that he has the potential to be Shaktimaan. I am not implying that he is performing it or anything else. I'm only saying that it would fit him well. He has the character to do it.

It's evident that anyone who is spreading rumors about his replacement has their own agenda.

Khanna's response is hard to predict because the director and actor have stood by Singh without faltering. Khanna has complicated the public discussion surrounding the project by continually raising objections, even though he says he has no personal prejudice against the actor.
