The most recent film starring Vijay Antony was the criminal thriller Maargan, which is now playing in theaters. In addition to this, the actor and composer will also play the lead role in the forthcoming Tamil movie Shakthi Thirumagan, which Arun Prabhu Purushottaman will write and direct.

The movie will be released in theaters on September 5, it was revealed on Thursday. Two Tamil films have already secured the same release date: Madharasi, starring Sivakarthikeyan and AR Murugadoss, and Bad Girl, the debut film by Varsha Bharath. It should be mentioned that Shakthi Thirumagan was originally named Parasakthi, but Vijay Antony gave up the title when Sivakarthikeyan's film with director Sudha Kongara was also revealed with the same name.

The film Shakthi Thirumagan will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. The ensemble features well-known performers like kid actor Master Keshav, Cell Murugan, Sunil Kriplani, Vaagai Chandrasekar, and Trupthi Ravindra.
