Sarzameen starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kajol, and Ibrahim Ali Khan is one of the most-awaited films of 2025. The moment the film was announced, it has been receiving immense love and attention. The makers have now released the trailer on July 4, and it looks promising, especially the face-off between Prithviraj and Ibrahim. It is directed by Kayoze Irani and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, and Apoorva Mehta under the banner of Dharma Productions.

On July 4, the makers of Sarzameen shared the much-awaited trailer, and it looks intense and gripping. The 2-minute and 13-second trailer shows Prithviraj Sukumaran as Vijay Menon, who is dealing with the dilemma of a father’s love and a soldier’s duty. Kajol as Meher is a mother who fights against odds to keep her family intact, and Ibrahim Ali Khan as Harman - a vulnerable young man, the son of Meher and Vijay, who gets stuck at a crossroads. 

The trailer's high point is the encounter between Vijay and Harman. Vijay tries his hardest to defeat Harman because he is a terrorist, and he puts the interests of the country ahead of his family in order to accomplish this. The narrative of duty, identity, and emotional conflicts is intricate, powerful, and fascinating. Ibrahim as Harman's strong action moves are commendable, and we are eager to see this aspect of Ibrahim develop. At the same time, Prithviraj's performance as Vijay exudes confidence and potential, while Kajol's portrayal of a loving mother wins over audiences.

Reactions to the Sarzameen trailer from fans

One supporter responded to the trailer by saying, "Family Vs Nation concept - Most used and tested concept..." I'm hoping we may find something amazing in this recipe. The trailer seems alright. I'll wait until I see the entire movie before drawing any conclusions.

"I don't care what anyone says, this looks so interesting and I can't wait to watch," another person said. It's great to be so excited about a movie only by watching its trailer. To be honest, I don't really like them. I'm here because the story (concept) seems intriguing. Kajol, Prithviraj, and Ibrahim's performance in the trailer have received positive reviews from a number of viewers.

Prithviraj Sukumaran's opinion on Sarzameen

Regarding Sarzameen, Sukumaran stated, "I knew from the moment I read the script of Sarzameen that this was a character I needed to play. It's layered and intense, and it addresses the emotional price of the decisions we make in the name of love and duty. This role surprised me by forcing me to confront my beliefs and consider the significance of silence, allegiance, and honesty.

On the other hand, Kajol said that Sarzameen called for an emotional depth that really intrigued her as an actor. "My character in Sarzmeen has so many layers, she is the emotional core of the story and Kayoze’s vision has portrayed it on screen in a compelling way. I am looking forward to the release of the film," Kajol added. 

Meanwhile, Ibrahim added that the film is an emotional milestone he will carry forever. Speaking about his character, Ibrahim added that Harman is torn between love, loyalty, and truth, and navigating that emotional spectrum was the most intense learning curve. "It was a treasure trove to see Kajol Ma’am and Prithviraj Sir in action, they are so gracious and effortless in their art and this pushed me to put my best foot forward," he said.
