The trailer starts with an unnamed narrator stating that some wounds are so severe that the agony persists until the very last symptom of that is gone. In front of Kajol, the trailer then shows Prithviraj Sukumaran portraying a stern and upright army officer who acknowledges that he is ashamed of his son..

Their son, played by Ibrahim, grows up to be someone whose values are at odds with his father's. He develops into a terrorist and gradually causes chaos. Prithviraj assures that the country is always his top priority, and that he will not hesitate to stand up to his own son if the situation calls for it. Kajol appears to be acting as a mediator between the two, but can she keep her family together?
