The film Sarzameen, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan, Kajol, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, will be available exclusively on an OTT platform starting on July 25. In addition, the movie will be accessible through OTTplay Premium. The movie, directed by Kayoze Irani, centers around an Indian Army officer's battle against terrorism and its effects on his family. Sarzameen will also be offered in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu languages, in addition to Hindi. You can stream it right here.

On JioHotstar, Sarzameen is available in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu, in addition to Hindi, from July 25. On OTTplay Premium, the movie will also be accessible for streaming.

From the beginning, the plan was to release Kayoze Irani on Sarzameen via OTT

In a previous interview with Screen, filmmaker Kayoze Irani stated that Sarzameen was always intended for a direct OTT release and that this was their partnership with JioHotstar.

"What surprised me in the last week is the YouTube reactions that we are getting. That why not theater. Only now, we are thinking, oh, we got this little feeling (about the theater release). But this has always been an OTT film. People might be looking at the scale and seeing the vibe of it," he added. 

About Sarzameen

Sarzameen revolves around Colonel Vijay Menon (Prithviraj), a dedicated army officer, and his son, Harman (Ibrahim). Harman's past is shrouded in trauma and resentment, which leads him on a path that potentially contradicts his father and nation.

The story delves deeply into the complexities of family dynamics amidst political and ideological conflicts in Kashmir. Kajol plays the role of Meera, a wife and mother who is trying to overcome the emotional turmoil of her family's situation. This film explores the sacrifices made in the name of duty and country, and the possibility of liberation.

In Sarzameen, Prithviraj Sukumaran portrays Vijay, the army officer, Kajol plays Meera, and Ibrahim Ali Khan is the son of the army officer. The cast also includes Mihir Ahuja, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Rajesh Sharma, Jitendra Joshi, and others.

Sarzameen is produced by Dharma Productions, with Karan Johar among the producers. The movie is directed by Kayoze Irani.
