Sacnilk estimates that the horror-comedy has already made ₹42.60 crore from foreign markets in only ten days, making it the highest-grossing Punjabi picture of 2025.

The best-earning Punjabi movie of 2025 is now Sardaar Ji 3

With just a 40% decline from its opening weekend—a remarkable hold that demonstrates continued interest among viewers worldwide—the movie, which was directed by Amar Hundal, had a great second weekend, earning roughly ₹9 crore. But following a first week in which it made ₹7 crore in Pakistan, the movie did not collect weekend revenue there due to the closure of theaters for Muharram.

Worldwide breakdown

With ₹18.75 crore ($2.2 million), North America is still the largest market for Sardaar Ji 3, followed by Pakistan with ₹7 crore ($830K) and the United Kingdom with ₹6.25 crore ($725K). With 57.50 crore and 46 crore, respectively, Jatt & Juliet 3 and Carry On Jatta 3 are ahead of the film as the third-highest-grossing Punjabi movie in history outside of India. With the current momentum, Sardaar Ji 3 has the potential to outperform both and become the highest-grossing Punjabi film in foreign markets.

In the next days, the film is predicted to surpass the ₹50 crore barrier in foreign revenue, solidifying its blockbuster position.

Release in India sparks discussion

Due to the backlash over the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir following the Pahalgam attacks, which claimed 26 lives, the movie is not available in Indian theaters. This caused demonstrations and disputes from some segments of the population. In India, the movie's release was held back by its producers, which cost it a large amount of money from the local market. Industry experts think that Sardaar Ji 3 may have become the most popular Punjabi movie in the world if it had been released in Indian theaters.
