With Subham, Samantha Ruth Prabhu makes her debut as a producer in Telugu film. She supported a project with a brand-new cast and a director who had only made one film. The horror comedy received glowing reviews, but its box office debut was terrible, bringing in fewer than Rs 60 lakhs on its first day.

Subham is now prepared to make its OTT debut.

But Samantha, as the star she is, took the initiative and actively marketed the movie, ultimately turning a profit by the conclusion of Subham's theatrical run.

With a lot of excitement surrounding its release since not many people saw the low-budget movie in theaters because of the lack of well-known stars, it is now ready to stream on JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar starting June 13, 2025. 

We've discovered that the streaming edition of the movie, which is set for an OTT release, will have a few deleted scenes that weren't included in the theatrical cut. In the movie, Samantha made a cameo, and according to reports, the finished product now includes scenes that shed light on her character's history and a humorous incident.

This situation has sparked curiosity because Subham's writing and tone are ideally suited to the OTT audience. This time, the film is geared towards families, and the creators hope that a larger audience will enjoy the film's comedy and message via streaming.

The movie, which is directed by Praveen Kandregula of Mail renown, follows women who become possessed while watching a television show at 9 p.m. every day. The story reveals a captivating mystery that sends a strong message to women about society.

Samantha makes solid profits with Subham

Samantha produced the film on a budget of close to Rs 10 crore, and Subham earned just over Rs 20 crore by the end of its theatrical run. As it turned out to be a solid profit-making venture, Samantha is now set to produce more low-budget films in the future. 

It remains to be seen how the film fares on OTT when it premieres on June 13, 2025. For now, the addition of deleted scenes is generating further buzz.
