Saiyyara is almost a blockbuster hit. In only three days, the movie, which stars Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday, has already earned Rs 83 crore. Yet, in the middle of all of this, some social media users asserted that Mohit Suri's movie is a copy of the Korean picture A Moment to Remember. Find out the truth below!

Is Saiyaara truly a duplicate of A Moment to Remember?

Shortly after Mohit Suri's Saiyara, starring Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday, was released, a section of social media began to assert that the film is a remake of the Korean film A Moment to Remember. They noted that many moments resemble the Korean picture.

Many internet users are comparing Saiyaara to John H. Lee's 2004 South Korean romantic drama A Moment to Remember as the movie becomes more well-known. As Vani battles the illness, the Korean film focuses on the lives of a couple after the wife is diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer's disease, which relates to Saiyaara's fundamental dilemma.

However, upon closer examination, key differences become clear. Saiyaara creates a unique arc around the main characters Krish and Vani, especially in the first half. The Indian film delves into contemporary urban experiences and aspirations, particularly through Krish's journey as an aspiring musician, while in contrast, the first half of the Korean drama follows a completely different path with workplace dynamics and family tensions, elements of which are largely absent in Saiyaara. So we cannot call Saiyaara is a copy of A Moment to Remember.

After the theatrical run ends, the YRF film, Saiyaara, will be available for streaming on Netflix. Currently, the film is ruling the box office charts, gathering all the love from fans and critics.
