According to director Matt Shakman, the renowned filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo, who produced Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, have supposedly handled a crucial post-credit scene.

In a recent interview with Comic Book Movie, Shakman revealed that the Russo Brothers have been putting in a lot of work behind the scenes to make sure that the plot of Marvel's massive timeline makes sense. "Working at Marvel is like competing in a relay race; you hand the baton... I handed it on to Joe and Anthony, and they're off and running," Shakman said. He continued, "They were quite involved, and as we were producing this picture, they wanted to visit our sets, observe scenes as they were being created, and get to know these characters so that they could treat them well and do right by them in the next movie."

The fact that the pertinent post-credit scene was shot at the same time as Avengers: Doomsday indicates that Marvel is placing a greater emphasis on connected narratives and character development. This scene will likely bridge the plot points of Fantastic Four: First Steps to the larger MCU timeline, providing audiences a sneak peek at what transpires when the Fantastic Four teams up with the Avengers.

A fresh cast and a retro-futuristic atmosphere

The movie offers a new perspective on the superhero team in a retro-futuristic environment that evokes the 1960s. Pedro Pascal plays Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), with Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch).

Shakman directed and Josh Friedman, Cam Squires, and Eric Pearson wrote the screenplay for Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25, 2025. The movie will be available in a number of languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
