Ronth Star Roshan Mathew Dives Into Chatha Pacha After Shahi Kabir’s Cop Drama

The latest Malayalam movie Ronth, starring Roshan Mathew and Dileesh Pothan, has hit the theaters and is receiving mostly favorable reviews. However, the Kankhajura star has already plunged headfirst into his upcoming Malayalam film, Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies. Roshan has expressed his thrill at being a part of the WWE-themed Malayalam movie, which also stars Arjun Ashokan and recently began production.

The forthcoming Malayalam movie Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies is directed by newcomer Adhvaith Nayar. The WWE-inspired film, which is described as action-packed, began production on Tuesday. In addition to Arjun Ashokan and Roshan Mathew, the movie stars Vishak Nair, who wowed audiences in Officer on Duty, and Ishan Shoukath, the Marco actor.
Roshan, who is establishing himself even in the Hindi cinema business, is looking forward to appearing in the thrilling Chatha Pacha. The actor remarked, "I've never done anything like this before." The movie, which is allegedly set in Fort Kochi, will center on a local wrestling club. Roshan remarked, "The world of wrestling entertainment is as intense emotionally as it is physically. I'm thrilled to dive into this space with Chatha Pacha," when discussing the film's topic.
The movie was written by Director Adhvaith Nayar, with Sanoop Thykoodam providing the screenplay and conversations. Kalai Kingson, known for the brutally violent Marco, serves as stunt director, and Anend C Chandran of Premam fame serves as cinematographer.
The movie made headlines as well because it was the famous musical trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy's first appearance in Malayalam. The filmmakers intend to release the movie this year.

Meanwhile, Ronth, starring Roshan Mathew and directed by Shahi Kabir, opened in theaters on June 13, 2025, and has received favorable reviews. Roshan plays CPO Dinnathan, who goes night patrolling with officer Yohannan. In addition to Dileesh Pothan, the film tells yet another intricate story involving law enforcement.
