Concerning the movie
The movie, which takes place over the course of one night, depicts two cops going through a number of difficulties while on duty. The changing dynamics of a senior-junior relationship, as well as the laws and lessons of mentoring and policing, are also unpacked.
Sub Inspector Yohannan (Dileesh Pothan) and his junior, Dinanath (Roshan Mathew), are the main characters in the movie, which is set during their night patrol. The younger officer returns in amusing ways as the older one teaches the value of observation and self-control, creating a nuanced examination of obligation, mentorship, and the understated power dynamics between the two. On June 13, it was released in theaters, where it garnered favorable reviews.
Shahi Kabir, the film's director, was a former policeman himself, and Ronth draws inspiration from his personal experiences. Shahi Kabir has said of the film, "In creating Ronth, I drew inspiration from my time as a police officer and from my interpersonal relationships with my coworkers on duty." I have lived in this environment, and via these characters, I want viewers to see the more human, realistic side of policing, as well as the emotionally compelling drama that the picture presents.
