Ritu Varma, best known for Pelli Choopulu and Mazaka, is prepared to make her OTT debut with Devika & Danny, a unique Jio Hotstar web series. The series will have eight episodes overall and will be available for streaming on June 6, 2025, according to the producers.

Before the release, the producers held a press conference and showed a few snippets of the program. Ritu Varma portrays a village girl who falls in love with a man but ends up marrying someone else. The show's first two episodes develop this thread in a really intriguing manner.

Ritu Varma described her character as a blessing in disguise, telling us that it's a joy to portray such a varied personality with intricate feelings. I feel extremely fortunate to have landed such a position, and I appreciate the filmmakers for reaching out to me. My character is multifaceted and gave me a lot of room to act. "Only in the OTT arena does one get to play such diverse roles, and Devika & Danny will highlight another aspect of my performance," said Ritu Varma.

According to the series' director, B. Kishore of Sreekaaram fame, Ritu Varma is the ideal candidate for the part. "She is dignified and can superbly showcase vulnerability," the director said.

The series, which was produced on a fair budget, also features Shiva Kandukuri in a prominent role. Another key member of the cast is Subbaraju, and the commercials have generated a lot of anticipation.

Being the lead in such a major series carries a lot of weight, and Ritu Varma is well-known for selecting projects with compelling personalities. Although Jio Hotstar has created a number of web series in the past, few have had a lasting impact. The creators are certain, though, that once it begins streaming on June 6, 2025, Devika & Danny will be a big topic of conversation. Keep an eye out for additional information.
