After months of speculation, the release date for Ranveer Singh's much awaited action thriller Dhurandhar has been set. The release date of the historical espionage drama, which is titled URI: The Surgical Strike and is directed by Aditya Dhar, has been moved by Jio Studios to December 5, 2025.

With Ranveer Singh's birthday serving as the backdrop, the first look and teaser were released.

The film will premiere its first look on Ranveer Singh's birthday, July 6, 2025. As planned, the teaser will be released on Sunday at 12:12 PM. The timing is intentional and planned as the filming approaches its conclusion.

All the shot pieces have already been edited and lined up by the producers, and post-production work is still going on at the same time. An insider claims that the editing process will be finished by the end of October, followed by a 45-day promotional blitz that will begin with Diwali.

Dhurendhar observes India's covert intelligence operations from start to finish throughout the 1970s and 1980s. The narrative is expected to move across several locations in Pakistan and India, reflecting the real shifts in geopolitics over the course of history.

In the film, Ranveer Singh portrays one of India's first undercover operatives, while R. Madhavan plays Ajith Doval.
