The motion poster, which Raj created as a caricature of a scene from the movie with a fairly large group of people at a funeral, all staring up at something, is a loving tribute to cinema, and we hope it resonates with you. Based solely on the background music and the first-look picture, the team has provided no additional hints regarding the genre, cast, etc., but it looks like a lighthearted comedy. Following Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana and Toby, Su from So is the third film made by Raj's Lighter Buddha Films.

Raj, who had a successful year in Malayalam cinema in 2024 and was last seen in the Kannada anthology Roopanthara, is now a member of the cast of 45, which is the directorial debut of composer-director Arjun Janya. Raj is joined by Shivarajkumar and Upendra. Although the movie is anticipated to debut in theaters on August 15, competing against Rajinikanth's Coolie, there have been rumors that Arjun may postpone it because of delays in finishing the CG work. The word is still out.

Additionally, Raj is the villain in Landlord, which was helmed by Gentleman director Jadeshaa K Hampi, who also penned Darshan's Kaatera. There have also been rumors that the actor-filmmaker has been working on the screenplay for a Kannada web series that Sony LIV has given the go light to, a deal that was made after the platform acquired his film Toby. However, once again, there has been no formal confirmation of this.
