Following the stampede in Bengaluru during the RCB victory procession, which claimed 11 lives, three Sandalwood events—the trailer for Diganth's Edagaiye Apagathakke Karana (EAK), the release of the second track from Yuva Rajkumar's highly anticipated Ekka, called Bangle Bangari, and the song from award-winning filmmaker Mansore's next Doora Theera Yaana—have been postponed from June 5, 2025.

“We have decided to hold off on releasing the song from Ekka due to the horrific stampede tragedy that occurred at Chinnaswamy Stadium, which has caused us great anguish. Our thoughts are with the families who lost their loved ones," said a message from PRK Productions, encouraging viewers to keep an eye out for more information about the film, which will be released in theaters on July 18, 2025.

The team of Doodh Peda Diganth's (Kanchaana, Chowka ) upcoming release Edagaiye Apagathakke Kaarana has postponed the trailer release for the movie by a day as a show of respect for the tragedy, which they believe should not have occurred during a time of rejoicing, and to highlight the value of every life. It will now debut on June 6, 2025, prior to its theatrical premiere on June 13.

On June 4, 2025, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the IPL champions, brought their triumph parade back to their home stadium, the Chinnaswamy Stadium, where thousands of supporters gathered to witness the trophy and the winners. Eleven supporters died in the ensuing chaos, and many more suffered injuries.
