The excitement surrounding Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited action drama They Call Him OG has reached fever pitch as the Telangana government officially granted permission for special premiere shows on 24 September, a full day ahead of its worldwide release. Special Premiere Shows and Ticket Prices

As per the government order, They Call Him OG, directed by Sujeeth and starring Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi, and Priyanka Mohan, will have its first official premiere in Telangana on 24 September. The excitement comes at a steep price — tickets for this show have been fixed at ₹800 each, making it one of the costliest premiere experiences for Telugu cinema in recent times.

In contrast, Andhra Pradesh has restricted premiere shows to 1 AM on 25 September, with ticket prices surprisingly higher at ₹1000 per seat. This difference has sparked debate, with fans in AP questioning why Telangana gets an earlier show at a slightly lower ticket cost while AP fans are restricted despite paying more.

Ticket Hikes for First Ten Days

Beyond premiere pricing, OG has also received approval for increased ticket rates during its first ten days of release (25 September – 4 October). Single-screen theatres in Telangana will be allowed to charge ₹100 extra, bringing the average ticket price to around ₹277. Similarly, multiplex tickets will rise by ₹150, averaging at about ₹445 per ticket.

While such price hikes are not new for major star releases, the scale of the rise reflects the immense demand for They Call Him OG. Given Pawan Kalyan’s massive fan following, tickets are expected to sell out within minutes once advance bookings open.

Fan Reactions and State Divide

Soon after the government order was made public, reactions poured in on social media. While fans in Telangana celebrated the rare chance to catch OG a day early, Andhra Pradesh fans expressed disappointment over the disparity.

One fan on X wrote, “It’s not fair..TG okla, AP ki okla (One rule for Telangana, another for Andhra Pradesh).” Another curious follower asked if there would be 4 AM shows on release day, while some sarcastically pointed out how people were “happy even about ticket price hikes,” showing the mixed emotions among fans.
