Paresh Rawal’s Departure Delays Welcome To The Jungle Despite 60% of Akshay Kumar’s Scenes Completed

After Hera Pheri 3, it looks like Akshay Kumar's Welcome To The Jungle is facing a cruel fate. The installment, despite being one of the most loved, might not see the light of the day soon. It unfortunately happens after 60% of the shoot was complete. Here's everything we know so far...
Welcome To The Jungle on the backburner?
It appears that Welcome To The Jungle might be on the backburner for now, even if the artists are curious to work on the project. The shoots are scheduled and then cancelled last moment owing to financial struggles. "Around two to three schedules of Welcome To The Jungle have been cancelled over the last six months, leaving the actors and their team confused about the prospects. The actors have been allotting dates for the shoot of Welcome To The Jungle to producer Firoz Nadiadwala, and the same stands cancelled at the last minute due to logistical and financial issues," a source told the portal. The little birdie added that some of the originally cast actors have also quit the film (hinting at Paresh Rawal's exit from this project, too).
Akshay Kumar-Paresh Rawal's battle after Hera Pheri 3 exit

Akshay Kumar got into a legal battle with Paresh Rawal after the latter silently took an exit from Hera Pheri 3. Unfortunately, Welcome To The Jungle shoot was also pending when that happened. Akshay sent a legal notice to the veteran actor who he associated with on various films over the years. The duo, in fact, completed Priyadarshan's Bhooth Bangla, post which Rawal announced his exit from the project(s) through media portals. This had left both the director and the actor-producer stunned. Currently, both Hera Pheri 3 as well as Welcome To The Jungle's fate hangs in the balance.
Welcome To The Jungle's initial cast and release date

When announced, Akshay Kumar's Welcome To The Jungle starred Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani and Vrihi Kodvara. The Ahmed Khan directorial was scheduled for December 20 release.
