In a clear sign of the makers' aggressive push toward an earlier release, Vanga has reportedly decided to cancel the scheduled New Year break for the film's cast and crew, accelerating the production timeline.

Continuous Shooting to Fast-Track Release

According to an update from Mid-day, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for his blockbuster hit Animal, is determined to wrap up major portions of the 'Spirit' shoot sooner than originally projected. Previous plans suggested the first schedule would conclude by the end of December, followed by a short break. However, this has now been overhauled to ensure a continuous filming process.

The team, which began shooting in Hyderabad on November 27th, is now expected to continue the schedule uninterrupted until the first week of January. This focused, non-stop approach is designed to gain a significant head start on the extensive production work required for the ambitious film.

Pushing the Release Date Forward

The primary motivation behind this rigorous schedule change is the film’s revised release strategy. Originally, 'Spirit' was slated for a December 2027 theatrical release. However, reports suggest that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is now keen on bringing the film to the screens approximately six months earlier, aiming for a mid-2027 debut. This aggressive adjustment indicates that the makers are accelerating the pace to meet this new, tighter deadline, underscoring their confidence in the project's potential.

Prabhas as the Intense, Rebellious Cop

'Spirit' is poised to present Prabhas in a never-before-seen avatar, marking his first portrayal of a fierce cop. His character is described as an intense and rebellious figure with "One bad habit," hinting at a complex and morally gray persona typical of Vanga’s protagonists.

The film boasts an impressive supporting cast:

• Triptii Dimri, who delivered a breakout performance in Animal, joins the cast as the female lead, marking her second collaboration with Vanga.

• Vivek Oberoi is reportedly cast as the main antagonist. Following the surprise success and critical acclaim of Bobby Deol's villainous role in Animal, Vanga is rumored to have something similarly shocking and memorable planned for Oberoi's character.

• Veteran actor Prakash Raj is also featured in a key role. An earlier audio teaser of 'Spirit' included Raj's voice-over, suggesting he may be playing a warden, contrasting with Prabhas’s role as a convicted cop.
