With only 30 days remaining until the release of the highly anticipated action film War 2, Yash Raj Films (YRF) has unveiled a new poster starring the film's main cast—Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr., and Kiara Advani—in order to raise excitement. The sequel to the blockbuster War from 2019, the most recent addition to the YRF Spy Universe, is set to hit cinemas on August 14, 2025, and movie enthusiasts can anticipate it.

The movie, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is anticipated to advance the spy franchise with new alliances, dangerous assignments, and battles on the horizon. The newly released photo depicts the three main characters in a fighting posture: Kiara Advani, who has a key role in the story, pointing a gun, Hrithik Roshan wielding a sword, and NTR Jr. with a clenched fist and stern demeanor. Jet skis, conflicts, and explosions hint at spectacular cinematic events set against a backdrop of high-octane activity.

War 2 represents a major crossover within the YRF Spy Universe. The identity of NTR Jr. is still unknown, and viewers are left to question whether he plays an ally, an enemy, or anything in between, even if Hrithik reprised his role as Kabir, the skilled intelligence officer from the previous movie. NTR Jr.'s entry into the franchise is exciting for a lot of individuals, especially those who like Telugu film.

Although Kiara Advani's character remains a mystery, her action-packed appearance and prominent position on the poster suggest that she will have a significant part in the second chapter.

IMAX rollout and pan-Indian release plan

YRF has chosen to release the movie in three languages—Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu—in order to connect with viewers all throughout India and make the most of the extended Independence Day weekend. The decision to distribute the movie in IMAX is another sign of the studio's location.
