Neena Gupta & Jitendra Kumar’s Panchayat S4 Finale Draws Criticism for ‘Letdown’ Ending
5 months ago | 5 Views
The online series Panchayat, which features Jitendra Kumar and Neena Gupta, had a varied response to its fourth season's debut. The election drama caused some viewers to miss the show's humor and simplicity, while others enjoyed the nostalgic tone. Indeed, the worst conclusion in the series thus far has been given to the season 4 finale of Panchayat.
Ratings for the Panchayat conclusion
The last episode of season one, titled "Jab Jaago Tabhi Savera," has an 8.8 rating on IMDb. The season two finale episode, titled Parivaar, has a 9.6 rating, and the season three finale, Hamla, has a 9. The finale of the most recent season, titled Dabdaba, is currently rated at 8.4, which is the lowest rating among the series' finale episodes thus far.
In addition, social media users voiced their dissatisfaction on X, which was previously known as Twitter. "Completed viewing...extremely let down. slow It's even boring in places. One said, "I'm extremely disappointed with the ending, but I can see that they have to set up for next season," while another said, "I lacked the USP comedy... unexpected downfall."
"I didn't like Panchayat new season 4... too much bad politics... On top of it ending is not good.. why the they made it like this and ruined a good series," one social media user shared, while another stated, "Panchayat season 4 felt like attending a wedding you didn't even want to go to, but you're forced to sit till the end."
One said, "Worst conclusion PANCHAYAT season 4. Disappointed."
Regarding the fourth season of Panchayat
On June 24, Prime Video began airing the show's fourth season. In addition to Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, and Pankaj Jha, Jitendra Kumar made his comeback as Sachiv Ji this season. The story this time revolves around the election season in Phulera, as well as the drama and stress that come with it. With all eight episodes being leaked on unlicensed platforms just hours after its premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 24, the series was a victim of piracy.
According to the Hindustan Times, the most recent season, which centered on the Panchayat elections in Phulera, completely ignored the program's strengths: its simplicity and relatability. "Panchayat season 4 finally sees formula creeping in, as well as an overwhelming amount of the murkiness of politics over the simplicity of human emotions... The new season also feels more manufactured than before, with the sameness of formula finally appearing to show its face here. "That robs the story of the freshness that Panchayat had managed to maintain for three seasons," it said.
