Dhanush's Telugu smash Kuberaa is the big OTT release in the southern digital area this week, following last week's Tovino Thomas-led Malayalam movie Narivetta. Atharvaa and Nimisha Sajayan's fascinating movie, named DNA, comes next. In addition, the lesser-known Malayalam film Asthra will have its OTT premiere this week. For Kuberaa, which was released in Tamil and Telugu, Tamil megastar Dhanush collaborated with Telugu director Sekhar Kammula. The Tamil version of the movie didn't have much of an effect, but the Telugu version was a smash. Tirupati is where Dhanush plays a beggar who is lured into a dangerous plot. However, Deepak must locate him at all costs after his escape. In the movie, Jim Sarbh portrays the main bad guy while Nagarjuna plays the crucial role of Deepak. One of the main roles is played by Rashmika Mandanna as well.

DNA

Release date for OTT: July 19, 2025

Tamil is the language.

The film revolves around the young couple of Anand and Divya, who tied the knot in an arranged marriage set-up. Their happy life is upended when their first child is born, as Divay realises that it is not her child, sparking a series of unsettling events. Actors Atharvaa and Nimisha Sajayan play the lead roles of the couple in the film.

Asthra

OTT release date: July 18, 2025 

OTT platform: Manorama Max 

Language: Malayalam

After two murders are committed in Wayanad, with the suspect gang leaving an arrow (Asthra) mark in blood, the police set out to find the culprits. The trailer hints that tense scenes and raw action would be the highlight of the movie. Amith Chakalakkal leads the film, along with Suhasini Kumaran and Senthil Krishna.

Sattamum Needhiyum

OTT release date July 18, 2025 

OTT platform: ZEE5, OTTplay Premium

Language: Tamil

Actor Saravanan leads this Tamil web series, which is helmed by debutant Balaji Selvaraj. The series centres on the lesser-known advocate Sundara Moorthy, who decides to take up the case of a missing girl after her father sets himself ablaze in the court premises.
