Deva Katta, a well-known Telugu filmmaker, has been silent for the last few years. He did, however, state in one of his interviews that he is producing a web series about actual politicians. The long-awaited day has arrived, and he has unveiled his thrilling new online series, Mayasabha.

The series, which Kiran Jaya Kumar co-directed, centers on the heads of Andhra politics, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu and the late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. Chandrababu Naidu is portrayed by Aadhi Pinisetty, while the brilliant Chaitanya Rao plays Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.

When the two political parties TDP and Congress were gaining prominence in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Deva Katta's series goes back to the 1990s. The well-known Viceroy Hotel event, where N.T. Rama Rao is prepared to dismiss his MLAs, and his son-in-law Chandrababu Naidu is prepared to start a rebellion against him, ousting him from the position of Chief Minister, marks the beginning of the trailer.

At this point, the drama unfolds, and Deva Katta presents unvarnished interactions between the personalities of Chandra Babu and Rajasekhar Reddy. Few people are aware that Chandrababu and Rajasekhar Reddy were once close friends and belonged to the same political party. However, the series is about how two close friends in politics went their separate ways, became the biggest rivals in Indian politics, and eventually rose to become Chief Ministers in their own right.

The trailer has done an excellent job of presenting all of this. Chandrababu Naidu is portrayed by Aadhi Pinisetty, and for legal reasons, the names, personalities, places, and possessions have all been changed. One of the most talked-about and historically significant subjects of the 1990s was Telugu Desam's political battle with the Congress party. Particularly by Deva Katta, producing a series on this backdrop brings a new high to the OTT market.

The series has high production values, and it expertly demonstrates how the story is brought to life. In addition to Srikanth Iyengar, Divya Dutta, Ravindra Vijay, Nassar, and others, Mayasbha has a few more important roles. In addition to the teaser, the producers have stated that the program will be available on Sony Liv for streaming starting August 7, 2025.

The makers have spent a lot of money on this project, and it clearly shows in the production, the visuals, the sets, the properties, and the locations. Everything looks top-notch. Everyone in Telugu states is aware of the history of between these two leaders what led them to part ways in the first place is showcased by Deva Katta in Mayasabha.
