On the eighth day of the Narivetta box office collection, Anuraj Manohar's Tovino Thomas' Narivetta has surpassed the star's prior picture, Identity, and is now in its second week. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film, which also features Theevandi star Suraj Venjaramoodu and Cheran in major roles, has earned Rs 19 crore at the box office during its first week. Narivetta, starring Tovino Thomas, was released in cinemas on May 23, 2025, and received favorable reviews, earning a total of Rs 19 crore in global revenue. According to Sacnilk, Narivetta has now surpassed Identity, Tovino's debut of 2025, which earned about Rs 16.9 crore. Identity, which features Tovino with Vinay Rai and Trisha Krishnan, who played the character of Ghilli, is not well known to many.

On its first day, Narivetta brought in Rs 1.65 crore. On its first weekend, the movie did well, bringing in Rs 1.85 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.25 crore on Sunday. Due to the excessive rain in Kerala, there was a dip in footfall mid-week, but the following days were still successful. The movie is now in its second week at the box office, and Narivetta is still receiving favorable reviews for its realistic story, so things seem promising.

Narivetta has a clear advantage because there are no significant Malayalam releases in the coming week. The only significant release in the upcoming week is Thug Life, a Tamil film directed by Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, which will be available in theaters on June 5, 2025.

Dhyan Sreenivasan's Detective Ujjwalan, which was also released on May 23, is the other Malayalam film in competition at the box office. Despite the mixed to favorable reception of Dhyan's movie, it hasn't proven to be a huge draw.

Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sharafudheen's Padakkalam, which was released in the second week of May, and Dileep's Prince and Family, are still playing. Even though Tharun Moorthy's movie has been released on OTT, Mohanlal's smash hit, Thudarum, is still playing in a few theaters.
