From July 11, Tovino Thomas' most recent movie, Narivetta, will be available in several languages via Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium. The movie, which starred Pranav Teophine, a young actor, and others from its leading cast, was lauded for its real and emotional acting during its outstanding theatrical release. In an interview only available to OTTplay, he discussed how he got the part of Thaami in this police thriller.

'Got this role incidently after a social media post'

Following the release of his previous film, Super Zindagi, Pranav said he was at a loss for what to do next. "I reposted the post because it caught my attention with its cast and genre, but I assumed this project was finished," the producers of Narivetta said in a motion poster at the time. "The casting director phoned me ten minutes after I submitted the poster, got my information, and set up a one-on-one interview," he said. The actor went on to say that he had performed out a scene given to him by the director, Anuraj Manohar, before being cast in the role. "Because I share screen time with some excellent performers like Tovino, Cheran, and Suraj Venjaramoodu in this movie, I couldn't afford to make any mistakes," Pranav stated.

'Turning point in my career'

Furthermore, he talked about how the position in this violent thriller gave him the publicity he needed for his film career. Prior to filming, Pranav spent three weeks traveling with an Adivasi community, emphasizing how hard it is to get the opportunity to play a character based on a real person. "I concentrated on giving Thaami my all and emoting appropriately to leave an impression on the audience that would last. My biggest barrier was the language, but Prasad, who was from the same group, helped me, he said.

The young actor studied the daily lives and behaviors of these individuals before filming his parts. Additionally, he lauded the movie's makeup and costume teams for their efforts and meticulousness in depicting Thaami.
