The Telugu movie Kubera is among the most anticipated since it marks the debut collaboration of Nagarjuna with actors like Dhanush. This social drama, directed by Sekhar Kammula of Godavari, Happy Days, and Leader fame, is scheduled for release on June 20, 2025.

On working with Sekhar Kammula, Nagarjuna said:

The manufacturers just introduced a new tune in Mumbai as part of their promotional efforts. Nagarjuna said during the release event that he had become tired of portraying the same old roles over and over again and had given up signing new movies until Kubera approached him.

"I was hoping a director would portray me in a new light, and Sekhar Kammula approached me with Kubera at that time. With Kubera, my 15-year goal of collaborating with Sekhar has finally materialized, according to Nagarjuna.

In addition to that, he said that Kubera will be a movie that will generate a lot of discussion when it comes out. Sekhar has done an outstanding job of illustrating how my character interacts with Dhanush's insane role. I had to be a part of his attempt to produce something very different from what he usually does, Nagarjuna said.

Additionally, the celebrity disclosed that he will only be accepting roles that thrill him in the future. “Coolie,” my upcoming picture, will feature me in yet another insane guise. I was weary of the sort of work I had been performing, so I am now in the finest period of my career, experimenting with various genres of film, he said.

DSP's music is lauded by Nagarjuna

The movie's music was written by Devi Sri Prasad, whose work on this social drama is gradually winning over the audience. Nagarjuna stated that the Chalo actress is a powerhouse of talent and that no one else has produced as many big hits in recent years as Rashmika Mandanna, who plays the female lead.

The digital rights to the movie have been purchased by Amazon Prime Video for a large sum of money, and Kubera will be available for streaming there during the second week of July 2025.
