More than a year after its theatrical debut, Nadikar, starring Tovino Thomas and Bhavana, has finally announced its digital release. Lal Jr's Malayalam film will soon be accessible for streaming on SainaPlay. The Malayalam movie Nadikar, which was released in cinemas on May 3, 2024, starred Tovino Thomas alongside Bhavana. According to sources, the movie was going to Netflix and was predicted to be available on OTT platforms a month after its theatrical release. But that didn't occur, and there was still doubt about Nadikar's OTT debut.

Now, Saina Play has announced on their Instagram page that Nadikar will be coming soon on their platform. But the platform has not confirmed the release date yet. The Malayalam film will likely be available only in the Malayalam language.

Nadikar cast and plot

Tovino Thomas plays the role of actor David Padikkal in Nadikar, which Lal Jr. directed, and is well-known for hits like Asif Ali's HoneyBee. Despite his fame, David's abilities are questioned, and before he hires an acting instructor, he is seen struggling with his pride and insecurities. In another movie, the Malayalam actress Bhavana plays his ex-girlfriend, who is also a movie star named Ann Bava.

Mythri Movie Makers of Pushpa fame, along with Godspeed Cinema, supported the film, which also features significant performances from Soubin Shahir, Balu Varghese, Divya Pillai, and Suresh Krishna.

However, the film did not live up to expectations when it was released in theaters in May 2024.

The most recent movie featuring Tovino Thomas was Narivetta, a compelling drama about tribal demonstrations in Wayanad. In the movie, which also stars Suraj Venjaramoodu and Cheran, he plays the role of a police officer named Varghese. The recent news that Narivetta will be available for streaming on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium beginning on July 11, 2025 was released.
