Upcoming Telugu actor Teja Sajja was last seen in the hit Telugu film Hanu-Man, which released earlier this year. The actor will be next seen in a film titled Mirai, the makers announced on social media on Thursday, while releasing the first look poster. The team also announced the release date of the film. Mirai will hit theatres on April 18, 2025, exactly one year from the date of announcement (today).

Teja Sajja in Mirai

Upcoming film Mirai is backed by Telugu production house People Media Factory and will be helmed by cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Karthik Gattamneni. The makers also released a glimpse video, teasing the film’s subject, which is based on King Ashoka and his Secret 9.

With Kalinga War etched as a dent in the history of the emperor, nine warriors were employed to protect their generations and there is an involvement of secret scriptures to keep their bloodline running. The glimpse also reveals Teja Sajja’s heroic entry, who is out there to prevent eclipse from reaching the Secret 9 of Ashoka and battle the evil forces. He is shown to excel in stick fight, and other forms of defence.

Mirai will feature Ritika Nayak as the female lead. Information on the rest of the cast members is yet to be announced. Karthik has also doubled up as the cinematographer of the film. He has penned the screenplay, alongside Manibabu Karanam who has written the dialogues. Sri Nagendra Tangala is the art director.
