About the film
The musical romantic drama, which is a spiritual sequel to Life in a Metro, brings together numerous tales of modern-day couples through its ensemble cast, which includes Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film, which was made by T-Series Films and Anurag Basu Productions, received special accolades for its musical score, which was written by Pritam.
Metro In Dino was given a moment by Konkona as a tribute to the legendary part that the late Irrfan Khan performed in the original. Konkona told HT in an interview that she recommended it because it was such a silly sort of role, much like Irrfan's character from the 2007 original. The character, however, is quite different, as stated by director Basu. The name is the only similarity.
