The movie has garnered favorable reviews and has been performing well in theaters. The most recent Sacnilk study indicates that in the first five days of its release, the movie made more than ₹20 crore.

According to the most recent update, Metro in Dino made ₹2.9 crore on its first Tuesday in theaters. The earnings are a little bit higher than Monday's, which indicates a rise in statistics. The movie made ₹ 2.5 crores on Monday. At the end of its first weekend, the movie had grossed ₹16.17 crore overall. The total amount collected thus far is ₹22.15 crore.

The musical romantic drama, which is a spiritual sequel to Life in a Metro, brings together numerous tales of modern-day couples through its ensemble cast, which includes Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film, which was made by T-Series Films and Anurag Basu Productions, received special accolades for its musical score, which was written by Pritam.

Metro In Dino was given a moment by Konkona as a tribute to the legendary part that the late Irrfan Khan performed in the original. Konkona told HT in an interview that she recommended it because it was such a silly sort of role, much like Irrfan's character from the 2007 original.
