We had earlier reported that Telugu star actor Chiranjeevi is set to feature in his 156th film titled Vishwambhara. The makers on Friday took to social media to make the announcement that the actor has joined the sets of the film.

A new poster was released, revealing the news. With golden and brown tints, one can see a mythical cliff-like backdrop, in front of which is the silhouette of the actor. The phrase "When myths collide legends rise" is written on the top, as the poster communicates that Chiranjeevi has joined the film's cast and crew for the production.

What all do we know about Vishwambhara?

The upcoming film is directed by Bimbisara maker Mallidi Vasishta. It is expected just like the director's previous film, Vishwambhara will also be a mythical film. However, only time will tell if it is true, since the makers have remained tight-lipped about the project. At the time of announcing the film, the makers released a video glimpse, which had visuals of temples and an unknown man closing an oval-shaped object, which has a star-like symbol on its surface.

Team of Vishwambhara

Writer Sai Madhav Burra, who has previously worked on Chiranjeevi's other films such as Khaidi No 150 and Syeraa has penned the screenplay for the film. Vishwambhara also marks their third collaboration. The film is expected to feature five leading ladies who have already been signed for the project. Academy Award winner MM Keeravani is composing the music for the film in collaboration with lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry. Acclaimed cinematographer Chota Naidu has handled the camera works, hence promising a grand spectacle. Vishwambhara is set to have a grand theatrical release on January 10, 2025 for the occasion of Sankranthi.

It is to be noted that Chiranjeevi, who is fondly called Megastar by his fan following, has been conferred the Padma Vibhushan Award by the government of India recently for the occasion of Republic Day. The star hero has been conferred this award for his lifetime achievement and services to Indian cinema in his 40-year-old career.
