It has been confirmed that the upcoming Malayalam film, Meesha, will have a theatrical release soon. The thriller, which has Hakim Shajahan and Tamil actor Kathir in lead roles, will hit the big screen on August 1. 

Meesha theatrical release date

The thriller will premiere in theatres in two weeks, putting an end to film enthusiasts' anticipation for this intriguing thriller. If released on August 1, Meesha will run in theatres along with Arjun Ashokan's Sumathi Valavu. 

A preview of the main characters was recently shown in a teaser released by the film's creators. Two close buddies are portrayed by Kathir and Hakim Shajahan in the one-minute and twenty-six-second clip. The two are known to have been friends since their school days. However, unforeseen issues force creates issues in their friendship and both of them appears to have unpredictable conduct after meeting each other years later. 

Shine Tom Chacko also has a significant role. There are also a few intense moments between the protagonists in the teaser, which is set in a lonely wooded region. With these young artistes putting on some outstanding performances, it is evident that Meesha will be an impressive entertainer overall.

Meesha's cast and crew updates

This action drama marks Kathir's first appearance in Malayalam. This film was directed by Emcy Joseph, who made his directorial debut with Vikruthi, starring Soubin Shahir. Sudhy Kopa, Srikanth Murali, Rekhachithram-fame Unni Lal, Haslee, and Jeo Baby are among Meesha's supporting ensemble. The film is being produced by Sajeer Gafur under the Unicorn Movies label. The soundtrack and background score for the film were composed by Sooraj S Kurup. The movie will be shown in theatres by Capital Cinemas. In the next few days, a trailer is anticipated.

Kathir starred in Suzhal: The Vortex, while Hakim acted in the recent Malayalam flicks such as Mammootty's Bazooka, Kadakan and Kadha Innuvare.
