MansoRe, a Kannada filmmaker, understands that he is now the major selling point of his picture, Doora Theera Yaana, as he gets ready to release it in theaters. In contrast to Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi, a family entertainment hit from last year, he lacks a movie that is dominated by a star. His characters are just getting started. In addition, MansoRe is aiming the movie at a larger audience than just his typical readership, which is looking for a socially relevant narrative. What will he say to other audiences to get them excited about his movie?

"I am not aiming for the Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi crowd; I want the ones who saw 777 Charlie. A tale with an emotional journey will appeal to that audience. This group makes up a sizable portion of the audience for Kannada films, and this trend has been there for centuries. According to MansoRe, the mother-son relationship is the subject that is most frequently discussed in movies like Jogi, which also featured violence and action.

My typical audience is let down, according to MansoRe

The director further states that viewers will have a better understanding of the message he is attempting to communicate through the film after the trailer is released on June 28. “So far, my regular audiences have been disappointed with what little they have seen of Doora Theera Yaana and said that I have changed as a filmmaker. The songs of Doora Theera Yaana have surprised them since they had different hopes for me. The therapy seemed overly commercial to them, which it is; I need to support myself with this movie," he says.

However, MansoRe has also received comments from viewers who appreciate the novelty of the storytelling and approach. "The trailer will be followed by another song, all of which will establish the atmosphere of what to anticipate. Based on my prior track record, I believe that we can attract roughly 6,000 people to cinemas during the first three days; my goal is to increase that number by twofold. In that case, my movie will then spread by word-of-mouth,” he argues.

The creator of the Nathicharami claims that the Kannada film-watching audience has shrunk to around 12–13 lakh, which is what a film like Kantara got in Karnataka. "I am only expecting a tiny portion of this in the first three days. I am hopeful of getting my film across to these audiences," says MansoRe.
