National Award-winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who also received the Padma Shri, has started filming his new movie, The Wives. True to his style, he is exploring a world full of glamour, secrets, and scandals. Known for his realistic stories based on true life, Bhandarkar is now focusing on the private lives of Bollywood star wives. Behind the polished Instagram feeds and designer outfits, their lives are a mix of wealth, influence, and hidden struggles.

The Wives aims to reveal the unspoken truths behind fame and success. The film features a cast including Sonali Kulkarni, Mouni Roy, Regina Cassandra, Rahul Bhat, Saurabh Sachdeva, Arjan Bajwa, and Freddy Daruwala. It promises a layered story, examining sacrifices, societal masks, and the complex relationships behind closed doors in the celebrity world.

This is Bhandarkar’s second film with producer Pranav Jain of PJ Motion Pictures, after the well-received OTT release India Lockdown. That film was praised for its realistic view and emotional depth. Fans now expect a similar impact from The Wives. With backing from Bhandarkar Entertainment and PJ Motion Pictures, the movie looks poised to offer a bold, eye-opening look at a side of Bollywood rarely seen but always fascinating.
