An update from the Maalik box office

According to initial projections in the most recent report, Maalik made ₹1.34 crore on its fourth day of release. Given that Monday is often a day when audience footfall decreases, it is not unexpected that this is the movie's lowest single-day gross thus far. Maalik made a haul of around ₹3.75 crore on opening day and then continued to grow on the weekend, earning ₹5.25 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The movie has made a total of ₹ 15.59 crore thus far.

Maalik's total Hindi occupancy in theaters was 8.22% on Monday.

Maalik surpassed the other Hindi release of the week, Aankhon ki Gustakhiyaan, which features Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor in her debut role. The movie, however, is up against fierce competition from David Corenswet's Superman, which has earned more than Rs 25 crore in India during its debut weekend, surpassing the combined earnings of the two Bollywood releases by a wide margin.
