Aamir Khan's movie by Lokesh Kanagaraj

The Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's next film, Coolie, will be available in theaters starting August 14, 2025. Following that, he will begin filming the follow-up to the 2019 blockbuster starring actor Karthi, Kaithi 2. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Lokesh revealed that the Aamir Khan picture would be his next effort after Kaithi 2.

"Most likely it will be Aamir Khan sir's film after Kaithi 2," Lokesh stated when asked further about the highly anticipated project. Though it will be in Hindi, it will be aimed at a worldwide audience. It's a terrific notion. I simply wished to create a movie alongside sir.

However, Aamir is also involved in Lokesh's Coolie.

"I discovered many parallels between Aamir sir and Kamal Haasan sir. Additionally, I adore his approach to the picture. "But that collaboration, I think, will be a new genre," Lokesh said of his Hindi film, "The fundamental difference between my kind of movies and his films."

"It can be described as a superhero movie, but it will be the biggest action picture," he stated unequivocally.

In regard to his other endeavors, Kamal Haasan's Vikram 2 and Rolex, starring Suriya, the filmmaker said that everything is contingent upon the actors' availability and his schedule.

In addition, he expressed his wish to make sequels to Leo and Master, both of which starred Vijay. However, as he enters politics, Vijay has said that he will be leaving the film industry. According to reports, his next movie, Jana Nayagan, will be his last.
