Mohanlal and Shobana have acted together in over 55 films over the past four decades. The National Award-winning actors are considered one of the finest onscreen pairs in the Malayalam film industry. Now, it has been confirmed that Mohanlal and Shobana are finally set to reunite for a film after a gap of over 19 years. The actress-danseuse recently confirmed that she is sharing screen space with the superstar in his next outing, which has been tentatively titled L360.

Mohanlal and Shobana to team up for L360

L360, which is helmed by Operation Java fame director Tharun Moorthy, is set to go on floors very soon. Mohanlal is set to play the role of a taxi driver in the much-awaited project. Recently, veteran actress Shobana confirmed that she will be teaming up with the superstar after a long gap for the project. In that case, the untitled project will mark the reunion of Malayalam cinema’s iconic pair after 19 years. Shobana, who announced the exciting update with an Instagram video, revealed that it is their 56th film together. The actress also stated that she is super excited to be a part of the film.

Shobana and Mohanlal to team up for two back-to-back films?

As reported earlier, it has been speculated that Mohanlal and Shobana are roped in to play the lead roles in the second directorial venture of Anoop Sathyan, who helmed the superhit movie Varane Avashyamund. The untitled project, which is touted to be a road movie, also stars veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah and senior actor Mukesh in pivotal roles. However, the makers have not officially announced the highly anticipated project yet. But now, it is safe to assume that Shobana and Mohanlal might soon share the screen in two films in a row.


L360 – Here's what we know

The untitled project, which is touted to be a family entertainer, revolves around a taxi driver and his deep attachment to his old Ambassador car. The movie is penned by KR Sunil, who was earlier supposed to team up with Mohanlal for a project titled Benz Vasu. Recently, it was also revealed that Aadujeevitham actor KR Gokul is set to play the role of the superstar’s son in the film. An official announcement of the star cast and technical crew of the film is expected to be out very soon.
