One of the most anticipated movies in Telugu cinema, Kingdom is scheduled for release on July 24, 2025. The lead role is played by Vijay Devarakonda, who has placed a lot of faith in the action drama as a means of making a comeback. It is now widely accepted that Kingdom will be published in two installments.

The most recent development is that every section of the Kingdom has been filmed as its own tale. The first half of the movie will have a satisfying conclusion and may be viewed by itself. According to one of the sources familiar with the unit, the producers are prepared to answer the phone for the second half after seeing how the first half does, but they have the plot and everything ready.

The source goes on to add that, right from the time director Gautham Tinnanuri came up with the script, he had written Kingdom as a two-part film. As the story is huge, he divided the film, and the first part is ready for release. That is also one of the reasons for Kingdom being delayed. It has been three years since the film started its shoot, and still, the post-production is on.

Producer Naga Vamsi, in one of his interviews, also confirmed that Kingdom will be released in two parts, but the concentration is more on part one, which will have a proper ending. In the past, Jr. NTR's film Devara was also made as a two-part film. The first part got released to a mixed response, which is the reason the second part is not being shot as of now, and the actors and director are busy with their other projects.

Looks like the makers of Kingdom are also going that way and want to play the waiting game. Only if part one clicks, the second part will move forward. Gautam Tinnanuri made the National Award-winning film Jersey with Nani, and he also did the Hindi remake. Now, Kingodm is the biggest film of his career, and he has pinned a lot of hopes on it.

The makers have spent more than a hundred crores on Kingdom, which is also Vijay Devarakonda’s biggest film to date. The action drama has Bhagyashree Bose as the female lead, and Vijay will be seen as a cop in this film. Popular Telugu actor Satya Dev will also be seen in a key role, and news is that he’s playing Vijay Devarakonda’s brother in this period drama.

Kingdom OTT platform details

Sri Lanka is where the majority of the movie was filmed, and it has fantastic graphics. The music was written by Anirudh, and the songs that have been released thus far have been huge success. Kingdom will be available on Netflix during the final week of August 2025 after the streaming service acquired the movie's digital rights.
