However, the two seasons of Kerala Crime Files are not just different in that the second season deals with a different case and a completely new cast of actors. Despite covering a murder investigation in its first season, Kerala Crime Files – Shiju, Parayil Veedu Neendakara, Ahammed Khabeer made sure the officers remained approachable, allowing us a glimpse into their personal lives and worries. Ahammed Khabeer told RJ Mathukkutty in a recent conversation that the upcoming season would not feature such moving personal narratives.

"Nothing like that will be in the second season. Not a word about their private lives. Khabeer said, "It's all about the case."

The trailer for Kerala Crime Files 2: The Search for CPO Ambili Raju indicates a somber narrative ahead, with the addition of Indrans, Harisree Ashokan, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Jeo Baby, Noorin Shereef, and Shibla Fara to the ensemble.

The show made sure that viewers identified with the cops and felt their emotions, even if they were. In his portrayal of the police's everyday struggles as they laboriously pursue clue after clue only to come to a dead end, Ahammed Khabeer made sure that the audience also viewed them as regular folks.

SI Manoj, played by Aju Varghese, is solely interested in finishing the case so he may enjoy some quality time with his bride. Sunil (Navas Vallikkunnu), the CPO, is always concerned about his wife and is devastated to have to chase the suspect just when he saw his newborn child for the first time. To please his daughter, Lal also gives CI Kurian Avaran, who desires all the publicity, a fatherly touch. The young and enthusiastic CPO Vinu is portrayed by Sanju Sanichen, who is at last overjoyed to have a job that may support his culinary preferences.
