Vishnu Manchu has said in several interviews that Kannappa, which is his dream project, was not created with the intention of making money. On June 27, 2025, the fantasy drama had a respectable word-of-mouth opening and generated Rs 9 crore in revenue around the world.

Worldwide collections on day two of Kannappa

In a previous story, we at OTTplay mentioned that Kannappa earned a net income of ₹5.1 crore on day two. The last collections are now in, and Kannappa has earned ₹7.5 crore on the second day.

The film did not reach the two-figure threshold, but given Vishnu Manchu's box office reach, the statistics are still fairly impressive. The movie's total earnings have now surpassed ₹32 crore in just two days. On its first Saturday, the movie had a respectable occupancy rate, and Sunday should bring even higher occupancy rates.

Fans of Prabhas are turning out in large numbers to watch the film on the big screen. In a way, it’s the cameos that are helping the film do well in theatres. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa sees Prabhas make his entry in the second half, from where the film takes a solid turn and embarks on an emotional ride.

Kannappa yet to lock its OTT deal

The likes of Mohanlal and Akshay Kumar are also seen in the avatars of Lord Shiva, and their roles are top-notch. Manchu Vishnu is yet to lock the OTT deal for Kannappa and has stated that the film will not be available on streaming platforms for at least ten weeks after its release. He is quoting big numbers to OTT platforms and is looking to secure solid profits from the deal.

Prety Mukundan becomes a talking point in Tollywood

The youth in the Telugu states have fallen in love with Priety Mukundan's glamorous appearance in Kannappa, making her an overnight star in the role of the female protagonist. Kuberaa, who has had a high occupancy rate since last week, has also faced intense competition from the picture.

The picture's future earnings will be determined when the weekdays start. For the time being, Vishnu Manchu and his crew are overjoyed that the movie has gotten off to a respectable start at the box office. Keep an eye out for additional news.
