There aren't many highly anticipated Kannada films left from the 2025 batch of theatrical releases following last week's unexpected OTT release of Yuddhakaanda Chapter 2. The finest ones are either already available on OTT or are preparing for their date with online viewers. For instance, Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdaararu, which, despite positive word-of-mouth, took some time to secure an OTT arrangement. This week, it will at last be available on streaming.

The 'big' release in theaters is Vishnu Manchu's Telugu original Kannappa, which is competing at the box office this week against National Award-winning director D Satya Prakash.

The following are the Kannada original and dubbed movies that will be released in theaters and on OTT throughout the week of June 23–29.

Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdaararu

Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdaararu, an anthology by director Keshav Moorthy, debuts on OTT five months after its theatrical release. Despite receiving favorable reviews, the movie, which relates three stories of theft, had trouble staying in cinemas. The movie features Dileep Raj, Prasanna Shetty, Apoorva Bharadwaj, Shilpa Manjunath, Govind Madhusudhan, and others in its cast.

OTTplay Premium and Sun NXT are the streaming platforms.

X&Y

Rama Rama Re is the most recent film directed by Satya Prakash, the filmmaker, who also has a significant role in the movie about an unborn soul's journey on earth. Other cast members include Veena Sundar, Harini Sreekanth, Atharva Prakash, Brinda Acharya, Ayaana, and Dharmanna Kadur. Satya Prakash has directed four films, including X&Y. The plot dictates that the soul lives in the body of a man who has recently died in order to bring his potential parents together, but it is disappointed by what it sees and feels on Earth.

Theaters are the location of the release.

Release date: June 26, 2025

Kannappa

Vishnu Manchu's ambitious mythological drama, in which he portrays the protagonist, Kannappa, a hunter who eventually becomes one of the greatest worshippers of Shiva. Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Akshay Kumar make key cameos in the movie, which is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and also features Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji, Siva Balaji, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi,[2] Raghu Babu, Preity Mukhundhan, and Madhoo. In addition to the original Telugu movie, a Kannada-dubbed version will also be available.

Theaters are where it will be released.

June 27, 2025 is the release date.
