Mani Ratnam's Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, and Trisha Krishnan star in the movie Thug Life, which debuted in theaters on Thursday. Thug Life's box office revenue on day three: The movie appears to have not benefited, particularly when compared to their 1987 picture Nayakan, as evidenced by the deluge of lukewarm reviews and negative responses on the internet. Sacnilk reports that the movie's net earnings in India were ₹28.49 crore by its first Saturday.

The box office receipts for the Thug Life

Following the significant drop the movie experienced on Friday, the statistics for Thug Life seem to be consistent. According to the trade website, the Mani-directed film earned ₹15.5 crore on its opening day and ₹7.15 crore on Friday, a decline of 53.87%. The movie is thought to have made around ₹5.84 crore in India on Saturday, bringing its total gross to about ₹28.49 crore. The Tamil version had a 35.62% occupancy rate. Even if these figures are good, the language conflict caused Thug Life's release in Karnataka to be cancelled, and it has also been negatively affected by comparisons to Nayakan. It appears that the Hindi collections of Housefull 5 were also impacted by its Friday release.

Kamal Haasan on reunion with Mani Ratnam

In anticipation of the film's debut, Kamal gave it a lot of publicity and looked forward to seeing Mani again after 38 years. "Every movie is a challenge, especially when you add another director like Mani Ratnam and a story that is so interesting," he told the media, according to ANI. Thankfully, he invited me to help him write the narrative. I presented him with an idea. I was mostly assisting him in enhancing the flavor of the vegetables. That's what I did. And I would consider that to be a real partnership since we both see each other as youngsters of cinema.

Kamal portrays Shaktivel, also known as Shakti, and Silambarasan, his adoptive son Amar, in Thug Life. Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Ali Fazal, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf are also included in the movie.
