There has been news that the film has been postponed, but the makers have not yet confirmed the same date. The superhero film was postponed due to the IPL fever and elections in AP, which are slated to happen on May 13, 2024.

The word in film circles is that the makers have decided to release the film on May 26, 2024. By then, the election hunagama in Andhra Pradesh will be over. But the makers are silent on the release date of the film, and this is killing the fans big time. The makers are being trolled to announce the release date of the film, but that is not happening.

Prabhas' fans are upset on the makers of Kalki 2898 AD

A few days ago, the first look at Amitabh from the film was released at the IPL match. Everyone thought that the release date of the film would be announced, but that did not happen, and the makers failed to confirm any date. So, the release suspense for the film is continuing.

Nag Ashwin directs this film, which has Prabhas as the superhero. Ashwini Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies has produced the film and he has spent close to Rs 350 crore on the budget of Kalki 2898AD. He has been in the industry for over 50 years now and has made several big-budget films with all the big stars in Telugu cinema.

Netflix has grabbed the OTT rights to the film, and a prelude to the actual film will be out on Netflix in the days to come. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music for this film, which also features Disha Patani in a special role. Watch this space for more updates.
