The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Karakkam, has revealed its first poster today (July 7). They have also unveiled the details of the cast and crew of the movie, which is touted to be a fun-filled horror comedy drama.

It has been confirmed that Sreenath Bhasi will star in the lead role in this forthcoming production, with Femina George, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Sidharth Bharathan, Jean Lal, Manikandan Achari, Bijukuttan, Midhutty, Praveen TJ, and Shaun Romy playing supporting roles. This horror comedy is produced by Kimberly Trinidade and Ankush Singh under the Black Turtle Productions and Krown Stars Entertainment flags, with Subhash Lalitha Subramanian serving as the director. Sam CS is composing the soundtracks and background scores. The picture, which the producers say contains some visually arresting horror moments, was written by the director, Arjun Narayan, and Nipin Narayan.

The poster hints at the film's genre by depicting a van entering a cemetery. The movie's cast and crew shared the poster on their social media accounts with the slogan "spinning through fear and fun." In the next days, additional information about the movie, such as a theatrical release date, is expected.

Sreenath Bhasi films in 2025

The young star's recent film, Azadi, is now streaming on Manorama Max. This prison break thriller's Tamil version can be found on OTTplay Premium and Sun NXT. The film was praised for its complex plot and the main actors' nuanced performances. 

At the heart of Azadi is Ganga, a pregnant prisoner who was sent to a medical college to give birth. Her husband, Raghu, and father, Shivan, a former goon, plan her escape from prison. When police officers find out about their plan, unexpected challenges arise. The main focus of the film is an intense battle in the hospital. Sreenath's other line-up of films include Namukku Kodathiyil Kaanam, Unlock and Dhuniyavinte Orattathu.
