Today, June 15, the producers of the Malayalam forthcoming movie Junior, released the first poster. It has been verified that the Manu Ashokan-directed film is set on a campus.

The most recent update reveals that the campus-based plot of the film will mainly feature newcomers, although the cast has not been announced. "Before the sets rise... before the camera starts... before the first 'action' resonates on set... a story has already taken form—in vision, on paper, and in soul." Manu Ashokan expressed his excitement on social media as he shared the announcement poster for his upcoming film as a director.

The film, which is financed by Venu Gopalakrishnan and T R Shamsudheen, was written by Bobby and Sanjay. Bobby and Sanjay are well-known for their movies, including Innale Vare, How Old Are You, and Mumbai Police. The pair has also penned the screenplays for Manu's previous works, Kaanekkaane and Uyare. Anjana Nair is the author of the tale. Jis Joy, along with other filmmakers, posted the poster and said, "Can't wait to bring a fresh wave to Malayalam cinema." More information about the cast and crew is anticipated in the days ahead.

Uyare, which featured Parvathy, Tovino Thomas, and Asif Ali in the main roles, marked the young director's first foray into directing. In Manu Ashokan's second movie, Kaanekkane, the lead roles were played by Tovino Thomas and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The film is available for streaming on OTTplay Premium and Sony LIV.

Manu Ashokan's third film, Eyes, was formerly thought to be set for a direct OTT debut on Sony LIV. The emotionally charged thriller, which was meant to premiere on Sony LIV in the latter half of 2024, was delayed for some inexplicable reason. The main roles in this project are played by Shruti Ramachandran, Dev Mohan, and Saniya Iyyappan.
